Quick question, theoretical situation...

I launch an attack from an allied player's OP taking 5 ticks.
Tick 5 I conquer a colony.
Tick 7 (ETA 4) my ally razes the OP.
What happens to my squads?

he cant raze it
cause it has outgoing squads

it will say that.. but if not.. then the units crash and u lose them.

Hmm.

I think he must be able to raze it (the ally), because I'm watching it happen right now to someone else... I was wondering what was going to happen to his squads!

It appears to be possible to do a massive backstab using this move. So say an alliance launches 1k units from a gate to take a relic, & the gate owner razes the gate while the units are 4 ticks or more away... the 1k units crash and burn???

not if the gate owner is sending units
you cant crash your own units.

actually the squads should go back to your base.one trick we use is this u have one your allies out squads on your outpost.u then tell him to leave the op.u raze.tell him to return real fast.troops land and op razes.thus the troops cant be attacked.cause theres nothing for them to go to

Right so basically, the ally's squads get back before the OP is razed, they get relocated to his colony. The OP is razed before the ally's squads get back they crash & burn...?

If the squads are returning and the outpost is razed then they should crash, the case of floating squads Chuck is talking about works only when you attack from the outpost and then cancel the attack.
