I haven't been able to log into anything for the last 20 minutes... which is the worst possible timing for me... If I lose an army I will be gutted.

Earth 7 is now closed, the world has been left online but ticks are permanently frozen and new registrations are not allowed. Eventually the world will be turned off but for now it is left open for players to talk to their alliances and organize where they may play next. Currently no old client double tick world is open to register on so if you want to play a double tick(30 minutes per tick) world then it is best to sign up for the new Earth 1 in the new client.

Both those worlds are open for new registrations, as well as Mars 2 and Mars 5.
